The I/O Brush is a conceptual design brewed up from the students at the MIT Media Lab. The idea behind the I/O brush is to turn the world into a palette. You can use the brush to pick up textures, colors and patterns from anything and then paint it onto a digital canvas.
I would really love to test this out!

a denver neighborhood’s foreclosures since early 2006. this is why i hesitate to move back to my homeland: it’s not the same. it’s such a great city with so much to do that people will do anything to live there. but now, the economy is hurting because some people have a talent for living beyond their means.

Help is a new line of healthcare products that offer a simpler shopping experience. The no-nonsense package design is by Help partner, Richard Fine, formerly of RedScout.
The customizable t-shirts are a clever extension of the brand. (via MoCo Loco)

tickle robot
‘Tickle is a small autonomous robot: a blank aluminium capsule that is fitted with a pair of nubbed rubber caterpillar tracks, to give a pleasurable tickling skin massage. Tickle crawls over a reclining body, powered by rechargeable batteries and equipped with sensors and motors. It has one motor for each track, so it can move forward or backward and it can turn left or right. The robots orientation is connected to its motion in a way that prevents it from falling off the subjects body. When it encounters a slope that is too steep, it will pivot until a safe level is found and continue its wandering, unpredictable path.’
Unfortunately only a prototype. Via Lemonodor Auxiliary.

Edit: Oops, Adam J Taylor correctly notes that’s not the Underground at all.
